#11 The Enormous Egg

#10 The Invention of Hugo Cabret


This book is about a boy named Hugo who is an orphan who tends to the clocks in a train station. His father who just recently deceased worked as a clockmaker and also in a museum where he finds an automaton. After Hugo's father showed him the robot he has become obsessed to have it back in working order with the help of a notebook left to him. Along the way he runs into a eccentric girl and interesting old man that runs the toy shop in the Train Station. Primary told in a series of pictures this book is a fascinating and most enjoyable read.

#8 The BFG


The BFG also known to be called the BIG FRIENDLY GIANT is another great story by beloved author Roald Dahl. This story is about a girl named Sophie who can't fall asleep and soon she is picked up by the BFG and carried away to his home in giant county. Good Dreams happen here and nightmares are bottled forever or used as a way to start fights with other giants. The BFG isn't great at speaking and so Sophie becomes his teacher. The BFG refuses to eat people like the other giants and so must eat bitter vegetables called snozzcumber and a fizzy drink called frobscottle.
These other Human eating giants must be stopped and so Sophie and the BFG devise a plan with the assistance of the Queen of England.
