This movie is based on the first three books of The Owls of Ga'Hoole series: The Capture, The Journey and The Rescue.
The story tells of Soren who is a young Barn Owl who more than anything loves hearing his father tell stories, especially about the legend of the Guardians of Ga'Hoole which is a group of owls that dedicates their life to doing good for others. Soren's brother Kludd isn't too happy about all the attention receives. One evening these brothers both fall out of the tree, get attacked by a tasmanian devil and get captured by two owls that are part of metal beak's clan.
